Foot peeling at home

The skin on the feet is most prone to dryness and roughness, the appearance of calluses and cracks. All this not only affects the attractiveness of the feet but also causes significant discomfort. Foot scrub will help clean the skin of the feet from dead cells of the stratum corneum, improve respiration, metabolism and regeneration. We have compiled a selection of foot peeling recipes that can be made at home.

Salt scrub

Sea salt deeply cleanses, exfoliates the skin, and it is natural and completely safe to use. If you soften it with olive or coconut oil, you can achieve a moisturizing effect.

The only disadvantage of salt scrub – contraindications for burns, wounds, cracks on the heels, the presence of abscesses.

We offer the following recipe:

  1. In a bowl of hot water add baking soda in a ratio of 2 tbsp. l. : 1 litre.
  2. Separately mix salt and oil to form a mushy consistency.
  3. Steam your feet in a basin of hot water.
  4. Apply the salt mixture on the feet and massage intensively, carefully treating rough pads of the thumbs.

Upon completion, the feet should be wiped with a towel, treated with nourishing cream. Do the procedure with sea salt, on the advice of experts, it is better 1-2 times a week. A course of 10 procedures is required to get delicate, soft skin.

Sugar mask and scrub

For sensitive skin, it is better to choose products with fine abrasive particles, such as sugar. The scrub mask will relieve tension, make the feet soft and the skin velvety.

Recipe:

  1. Take 50 grams of granulated sugar.
  2. Mix with 20 ml of any shower gel.
  3. Add 3-4 drops of lavender essential oil.
  4. Steam your legs before applying.
  5. Then, gently massage, distributing the sugar mixture on the feet. Leave the mask on for 5-7 minutes for deep cleansing.
  6. Apply low-fat cream.

Chemical peeling

Copes with the stratum corneum due to the use of acids, and in some salons is positioned as an "acid peel". It is the chemical cleaning of the feet is one of the most effective. Products for acid foot peeling are sold in cosmetic stores and are quite inexpensive.

Stages:

  1. Examine the skin for wounds, cracks or inflamed calluses. In the case of detection, it is better to postpone cleaning before healing.
  2. Treat your feet with an antiseptic.
  3. Dip your feet for 3-4 minutes in a bath with a water temperature of 38-40 degrees.
  4. Dry the skin with a towel, treat again with antiseptic.
  5. Apply a special chemical product to the problem areas, spreading with a cotton pad, and wrap your feet with plastic bags. Keep the remedy as long as indicated in the instructions. Usually, it is for 7-10 minutes.

Peeling sock

Combines the effectiveness of chemical peels with the convenience of home use. You can make such peeling socks with your own hands.

First of all, take two old socks (which are not a pity to throw away), cut off the sock so that it covers only your feet and toes, without touching the skin of the upper part of the foot. These socks will need to be impregnated with a special composition – dilute lactic acid. Initially, lactic acid is sold in a concentration of 80%, but it should not be used undiluted, as there is a high risk of chemical burns. The acid must be diluted with water to 20%. Wet the trimmed socks well with this solution, and then put them on your feet. Place your feet in two small plastic bags.

This home foot peeling will be no different from a purchased or professional salon – you will get the same result. On the second or third day, the skin on the feet will begin to peel and exfoliate. And in a week from the day of peeling the feet will be completely renewed.
