The importance of brushes disinfection
First of all, you need to understand there are colonies of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, fungi and mites on human skin. They form the skin microbiome. Everyone has their skin microbiome. Once in different conditions, the same microorganisms behave differently, causing pathological conditions, such as rashes, dermatitis. Even if the previous client’s skin is in perfect condition, its skin microbiome is alien to the next client. Therefore, all tools that come into contact with the skin of customers must be disinfected.
How to disinfect brushes
Sanitation will be possible if the makeup artist has at least two sets of identical tools. And after each client, each tool can be thoroughly washed and disinfected with a special remedy. Since you will have to process dozens of brushes at the same time and use different cleaning agents, it makes sense to sort kits in the order you are going to wash them. To speed up the process, you can divide brushes into the following categories:
- contouring;
- tonal bases;
- eye and lip makeup.
Separation of synthetic and natural brushes is an inevitable necessity. Most makeup artists use different cleaners for each type of tool.
