FRUU is the British company that converts waste into new products including lip balms.
This decision was taken by the company to reduce food waste and make beauty production more sustainable. The UK alone produces 10.2 million tonnes of food waste per year. So, FRUU has released fruit lip balms.
All products are made from ingredients derived from more than 15 types of organic waste. For example, fruits that did not hit store shelves because of a non-commercial appearance.
Balms come in different flavours: avocado, coconut, watermelon, mango, cherry, strawberry, pineapple, pomegranate, lime and lemon. Besides, lip balms are not tested on animals.
