Gel polish manicure as in the salon: a step by step guide

Well-groomed hands are the calling card of every self-respecting woman. However, manicure in the salon is expensive and has to adjust to the schedule of the artist. Make a hygienic manicure (classic or hardware), prepare nail shape and get everything you need:

• buff 100/160;
• lint-free napkins;
• dehydrator;
• primer;
• base and top coat;
• coloured gel polish;
• UV or an LED lamp;
• cleanser;
• cuticle oil.

1. Prepare the nail: slide the cuticle with an orange stick, treat the nail plate with a buff (to make the nail rough), remove the dust and wipe with a dehydrator on a lint-free cloth. This is important for maximum adhesion of the product and the nail.
2. Apply primer by rubbing all over the nail plate. Primer plays the role of “double-sided adhesive tape”, which promotes greater adhesion of material and nails. Allow drying completely (about a minute).
3. Apply a base coat. It is important to do this neatly so that it does not flow under the cuticle. It is important to seal the nail end by covering it separately. Dry the base in the lamp (2 minutes for the UV lamp, 30 minutes for the LED lamp).
4. Apply coloured gel polish, first rubbing the main drop in the middle of the nail and gradually bringing it to the cuticle. The free edge of the nail must be sealed. As we did with the base coat. The first coat of varnish must be thin to allow it to dry well in the lamp. When all the nails are covered with coloured gel polish, let them dry in the lamp.
5. Similarly, apply a second layer of coloured coat and dry it in the lamp. If necessary, cover the nails and the third layer of polish, not forgetting to seal the ends. Each subsequent layer should be dried in the lamp for a little longer to allow the varnish to become well dried.
6. Apply top coat, sealing the free edge of the nail and dry in a lamp.
7. After top coat application, it is necessary to remove the sticky (dispersion) layer. To do this, moisten a lint-free cloth in the cleanser and wipe the nails.

With the correct performance of all the items, the gel polish manicure will last for 3 weeks without losing gloss.
