HBO announced the release of a full-length documentary film about the Game of Thrones and the worlds of Westeros, directed by Jeanie Finlay.
The tape called Game of Thrones: The Last Watch will be released a week after the end of the final season of the series – May 26, writes the Hollywood Reporter.
The two-hour documentary film will chronicle the creation of the final season of the Game of Thrones, based on the year Finlay spent on the set.
The film “delves into the dirt and blood to reveal the tears and triumphs associated with the challenge of realising the fantastic world of Westeros in the most real studios, fields and parking lots in Northern Ireland,” reports HBO.
The film will reveal some of the greatest mysteries of the season and the secrets of filmmaking, thanks to “unprecedented access” to the cast and film crew, who for nearly a decade brought the life of the Seven Kingdoms to life.
The final season of the Game of Thrones will consist of six episodes with a total duration of about 432 minutes. The premiere of the first episode of the last season will be held April 14 on HBO.
