5 main beauty myths

Beauty myths are an eternal theme. Over time, some disappear, others appear. Now it is difficult for us women. And all this great wealth has spawned so many myths about self-care, cosmetics and beauty. In this article, we will at least break them!

Myth # 1: Organic cosmetics are better than “chemical”

For cosmetics to be truly called organic, manufacturers must comply with several requirements:

  • at least 90% of the ingredients must be of natural plant origin;
  • ingredients for organic cosmetics should grow only in fields where no chemical fertilizers, antiparasitic and anti-infective substances are used;
  • these fields must be certified by the local ministries of agriculture (it should be noted at once that not every country will deal with similar issues in each country);
  • all substances from plants for organic cosmetics are extracted only by extraction, ie extraction.
  • Not all brands that proudly call themselves natural can boast of fulfilling these points. Therefore, many questions arise about the true composition of their cosmetics.

Myth # 2: Thermal water moisturizes the skin

Many of us exaggerate the possibilities of thermal water, thinking that it moisturizes, refreshes well and in general works wonders. If sprayed on the face and left to dry, the skin will become dehydrated. From the school it is known that water can evaporate, and in this regard, thermal water is no different from ordinary. Here’s how to use thermal water properly: apply it to clean skin, massage your face a little, and then apply the cream. Only then the water will have a moisturizing effect.

Myth # 3: The sooner you start using wrinkle cream, the better

What young skin needs is proper care: good moisturizing, nourishing, cleansing and protection from sunlight. And if you start using wrinkle cream at an early age, it can cause allergic reactions and skin irritation. Similarly, the dermis will no longer produce the right amount of collagen. It is better to use wrinkle cream when the first noticeable kinks appeared.

Myth # 4: The mascara should only be thrown away when it dries

Probably more than half of the supporters of decorative cosmetics believe in this kind of beauty myths. But the shelf life of the mascara is much shorter than we use it. This product will safely serve you exactly 3 months from the date of opening, and afterwards will be a breeding ground for bacteria that do not have a good effect on our eyes and skin.

Myth # 5: The effect of luxury brands and mass-market products is no different

Luxury brands put not only formula and efficiency into conditional cream, but also a legend, name, a promise of satisfaction, a sense of belonging to a certain group – and it is definitely worth the extra money. If all that doesn’t matter to you, there is no point in paying for luxury. However, when it comes to performance, we would recommend trusting brands that specialize in professional skincare. Today’s monotherapy – “one product – one ingredient – high concentration” is far from omnipotent. Yes, niacinamide is an excellent ingredient and useful to almost everyone. But the skin is complex enough and it needs both antioxidants, prebiotics, and amino acids and fatty acids – it is not so easy to build effective mono-product care. After all, this can spill over into the vial battery. Also, it is not always necessary to use maximum concentrations of ingredients daily. This is justified with intense skin action. In the end, mono-products make you spend more time and money.
