Skincare after winter

On the eve of spring, we usually get tired of winter. Lack of light, vitamins, differences in temperature – all this adversely affects not only the state of mind but also our body, especially on the skin of the face.

Of course, in winter there are advantages – it is ideal for carrying out several cosmetic procedures that cannot be done in the summer due to the strong solar activity: peels, laser and photo treatments, other procedures. But the spring you still want to meet with the least “loss” of beauty. How to help your skin after winter?

Problem #1: Dehydration

In the spring, most girls complain that wrinkles have become more noticeable, the skin is peeling. All of these are the effects of dehydration, which in turn is triggered by frost, dry indoor air, wind and temperature fluctuations. And if you have the normal or combined type of skin, you are still at risk. What to do? Drink water! First of all, the body needs to be hydrated from the inside. After all, moisturize the skin, but almost no water to drink is senseless. The recommendations here are simple and well known to everyone: drink at least two litres of water a day. Mostly in the morning. If you start actively getting back to the regular amount a couple of hours before bedtime, you will wake up with swelling. What to do? Use moisturizers! And of course, skincare after winter should include nutritious and moisturizing products. Look for those that will contain vegetable oils with unsaturated fatty acids and various waxes that form a thin film on the surface of the skin that prevents moisture from evaporating.

Problem #2: Lack of vitamins

Spring hypovitaminosis is not just a horror story. It is not for nothing that doctors recommend taking a course of multivitamins at the end of winter. How to help the skin? Use vitamin-fortified creams and serums. The most important vitamins for skin recovery are A, C and E. These are the most powerful antioxidants that also prevent free radicals from attacking, preventing premature ageing. Vitamin C increases skin immunity, strengthens the walls of blood vessels and improves complexion. Vitamin E smooths out, tightens the skin, activates blood circulation. And Vitamin A starts the recovery process and fights photo-ageing. Unfortunately, vitamins in the skin are practically not accumulated, so it is necessary to use such care products in the same way as regular vitamins-pills – regular courses: “applied” a jar and wait a couple of months.

Problem #3: A dull complexion

In winter, the skin is refreshed several times slower, with a layer of keratinized cells accumulating on its surface, which makes it uneven and dull, because it reflects light unevenly. What to do? As soon as it is a stable warm temperature, go from oily nutrients to moisturizing creams and fluids with SPF and be sure to supplement the care with serum. Choose aloe, witch hazel, chamomile and berry extracts. Get scrubs, acid products that gently exfoliate the top layer of cells. And while the sun is still not very strong, visit the salon for peeling. All of this will help your skin look fresh. After peeling, it is helpful to make a mask with vitamin C, algae extracts, collagen and hyaluronic acid. And do not forget that after any exfoliation it is necessary to use a cream with SPF, otherwise, you can be covered with pigment spots. For the spring SPF 15-25 will be enough, but by May you will need a cream with SPF 30 and even 50.

Now you know how to give your skin a healthy and radiant look. Time to act!
