Fruit juices are more harmful than carbonated drinks

American scientists from the University of Emory conducted a study that found that the use of fruit juices poses a greater risk of premature death than sweet aerated beverages.

As a result, for people who drank 350 ml of juice daily, the risk of premature death was 24% higher than that of those who did not drink it at all. And people who love carbonated drinks, the risk increased by only 11% – it is twice less than those who enjoy fruit juices.

“Although 100% fruit juices contain a small number of vitamins and phytocutants that are absent in most sugar-sweetened drinks, they still hold sugar and water predominantly,” scientists say.

So, ordinary fruits and vegetables are more useful than any drinks. Substitutes can only be fresh juice or smoothie.
